The American National Standards Institute (ANSI)
Private, non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.

American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE)
Represents members of the civil engineering profession worldwide and develops standards and codes that often are adopted by federal, state, and local governments.

American Society for Testing and Materials (ASTM)
ASTM is a not-for-profit organization that provides a forum for the development and publication of voluntary consensus standards for materials, products, systems and services. ASTM develops standard test methods, specifications, practices, guides, classifications, and terminology covering subjects such as metals, paints, plastics, textiles, petroleum, construction, energy, the environment, consumer products, medical services and devices, computerized systems, electronics, and many others. Building Officials Code Administrators International, Inc. (BOCA)
This organization is dedicated to preserving the public health, safety and welfare in the built environment through the effective, efficient use and enforcement of Model Codes. The site lists information on certification and training plus how to obtain current BOCA codes.

The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI)
CSI provides technical information and products, continuing education, professional conferences, and product shows to enhance communication among all disciplines of nonresidential building design and construction and meet the industry’s need for a common system of organizing and presenting construction information.

International Code Council (ICC)
Non-profit organization dedicated to developing a single set of comprehensive and coordinated national model construction codes. The founders of the ICC are Building Officials and Code Administrators International, Inc. (BOCA), International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO), and Southern Building Code Congress International, Inc. (SBCCI).

International Conference of Building Officials (ICBO)
Source of building and construction codes to ensure the public's safety. Also offers a broad variety of certification programs, seminars on any number of topics, CD-ROM codes resources, training manuals, videos and more.

National Conference of States on Building Codes and Standards (NCS BCS)
